Supporting success
Meet Aimy Southern, one of our Swimming Instructors at Tunbridge Wells Fitness and Wellbeing Gym. We asked Aimy about the team at Tunbridge Wells.
How long have you worked for Nuffield Health?
I have worked for Nuffield Health as a Swim Instructor for 1 year.
Tell us about the team you work in:
The team I work with are brilliant. We always work hard to make sure that our lessons are child-focussed, progressive, and well delivered. Our team works together to cover others when necessary, and we have a wealth of knowledge with long-standing instructors.
Why did you choose to work at Nuffield Health?
Having previously worked for Nuffield Health around 7 years ago, I knew of the company and the various clubs in my area. It was a company that when I was looking to change roles, would come to mind as one to apply for.
What’s your favourite thing about working at Nuffield Health?
My favourite thing about working for Nuffield Health is the support you can receive for growth and career development. Although I am currently studying, and happy with my current role, should there come a time I would like to change or expand, I have seen Nuffield Health support and aid career progression with my co-workers, which gives me confidence that I too can have that support.
What is your career highlight?
Personal career highlights for me are seeing the children I teach progress. I have had several children new to swimming progress through stages and learn to be happy and confident in the water, which to me is everything I could want from my role.
How do you use your employee benefits?
Nuffield has a wealth of employee benefits, most often I use the free gym membership to use at a club slightly closer to me, and the employee healthcare scheme gives me real peace of mind. As I am going to be undertaking major surgery later in the year, knowing that I can access physiotherapy at discounted rates is really good to know.
